Most people(including Myself) don't think Chavez jr is gonna take on Martinez..Chavez jr, Roach & the rest of his team DON'T even talk or mention Martinez's name, they are avoiding Martinez like he had Ebola!! That document Scumbag Sulaiman had them sign is a bunch of B U L L S H I T cause if a fighter is the mandatory then there is NO need to sign a document cause the rules are that if the champion doesn't fight the mandatory within an amount of time he gets stripped..Most likely after the Lee fight Chavez jr will go up in weight, cause he's been having issues with the weight for a while..

I agree with Martinez also about the fight not happening. Some dumb excuse is going to develop.

After last night, i think Martinez should consider moving to 168. Nobody will fight him at 154 and there's no MW P4P fighters. Think about it, agaisnt Froch for the right money, in Nottingham, maybe a 165 catchweight. Why not? He has speed and reach to beat him. I would love to see that fight.

It's not personal. It's just business.

JCCjr Will go up and fight someone like Glen Johnson in texas, or maybe Bute in texas (who will both probably get robbed of a decision. Can't believe they've dragged it all out for this long, just waiting for Julio to go up and never having any intention of fighting Martinez after all his voluntary defences.

Haha I'd love to see Maravilla v Froch! Sergio the other road-warrior extrordinaire.
But to be fair, Martinez is a small guy. I think I saw Robert Garcia say he walks around about 165lb. Then again, Froch aint big for a Super-Middleweight and I think normally weighs in the mid 170s.

I'd certainly pay to see it anyway. Half of me thinks Sergio ruins him with his vicious speed and movement, but half of me thinks Froch might have a chance as he's fought wayyy better people in the last 3 years than Martinez has. I know Sergio hits hard, but can he really stop Frochky Balboa? Still reckon Carl gets done in this one though.

Martinez is smart for thinking this way. Even a blind man can see Chavez wants no part of Martinez! Don't be surprised if Jr fails to make weight. Either way, win, lose or draw Chavez will duck Martines and move to 168 next. Watch!

Chavez Jr. Needs a New Tampon!!!

I'm not sure which Mexican "icon" is more gutless, Chavez Jr. or Canelo. They''re both protected by Uncle Jose in Mexico City. Nothing on this earth will make Roach put Chavez Jr. in with Maravilla because he knows that the resulting destruction of this pansy will be swift, thorough and violent.

I pray the Boxing gods intervene and Andy Lee beats this gutless, stinking pile of camel sh#* in June. All Mexican boxing fans who support this sort of cowardly maneuvering should hang their heads in shame.

None of us expect this fight to happen Sergio

But let's see if Chavez Jr. even gets passed Andy Lee.....

I honestly think Chavez will come in over weight against Lee, maybe 1-2 lbs over intentionally. Than the belt will go vacant once he beats Lee, and he'll state he can't make 160 anymore, and he'll fight Kelly Pavlik in the fall. Than, he'll fight the Abraham-Stieglitz winner in February/March 2013. Mark my words.

Agreed but Pavlik eats his ass up. His style is "Taylor" made for Pavlik! Regardless, he won't be able to keep dodging the top guys for much longer. Especially at 168. He'll get "Bute'd" before long!
