Huh? Did I miss something? When has anyone tried writing off Morales besides Pac fanboys in March? He lost to a naturally bigger fighter in Raheem, and 2 losses to Barerra is mighty respectable, especially given the performance he put up in both fights. I have zero doubt that Morales will come out looking better than he did in their first fight in March, and win a pretty easy decision.

It’s almost hard to believe that the tiny titan from Tijuana, a certain first ballot hall of fame candidate, has to again prove his worth as an all time great fighter in his January rematch with Manny Pacquiao. All the good will he established in his first victory over the “Pacman” was nearly erased when he lost his follow up bout to unheralded Zahir Raheem in such desultory fashion. No excuse, be it taking his speedy opponent lightly, or that it was a terrible stylistic match-up, or that he moved up one weight class too many can mask the fact that Erik’s storied career is in the final stretch run. And, true to form, “El Terrible” will again step into the ring to face a top tier, murderous punching foe.

But that’s Erik Morales. That willingness to take on all comers is what makes Morales both a special fighter and a fan favorite. It’s also what makes him such a formidable boxer. When his back is against the wall, when his critics are salivating in preparation to write him off, when his opposition senses weakness, Morales becomes an intensely motivated and dangerous fighter. [details]

after reading the entire article, the first thing that popped into my head was "Uh-Oh" (for manny) It's bad enough that erik is the underdog and so many are saying all the crap about the gloves, etc. All of that just adds fuel to eriks fire, and thats bad news for manny. Roach cant know how badly he messed up dissing erik, therefore pissing him off even more! Lol, I thought he wanted Manny to win this time?!?
Seriously, the best roach and manny could have hoped for was a passive, overconfident erik morales come fight time. The worst thing they could end up with is a pissed off, something to prove Morales, and thats what theyre getting. I was already pretty sure that erik would win the rematch, but taking all these "ingredients" into consideration, I'm convinced. I almost feel sorry for Manny...he's got two fisted hell on his hands come fight night!

                yea right.......

I bet Morales to trade wit Pac in the opening bell and we'll see his silly ass on the canvass in less than 5 rounds! Bein pissed don't mean anything. Bernard was pissed when Taylor won the first fight, but he dint do nothing in the rematch. Same wit Morales.

Morales aint doin shyt! Morales got pissed at Raheem too when he was beating him sensely into 120-112 decision, HE DINT DO NOTHIn BOUT IT! All he did was act like a crack head and yell " CMON....CMON....CMON" fo the entire 12th round. Sore loser!

What the hell happened in the first fight to make you think he'll knock erik out in less than 5 rds?? Stunning Erik is one thing, but youre reaching manny p! And, for the record, Nard is NO Erik Morales. You couldnt be comparing two different fighters. Nard is all about defense, defense, defense. Erik doenst much believe in defense. Come on..give him some credit cause that just makes manny look bad; to be beaten by a 'pushover'..thats the impression youre giving me.

I bet you when pacman loses again he's going to come out with all types of excuses. AGAIN! If you win then win like a man and if you lose then lose like a man! no excuses.
