Bute did NOT lose the fight because he "sucks". Almost any other fighter would've....

Went down by some of the shots that Bute landed on Froch. Abraham, Kessler, Jermain Taylor, and Dirrell (all fighters in the Super Six) would have probably been at least knocked down if they took some of the same shots that Froch took.

Froch's chin is out of this world. Couple that with the unrelenting pressure and punches that Froch comes with, and it spelled out disaster for Bute.

Ive been a Froch fan for a while, and didnt think there was anyway that he was going to be Bute. The Cobra proved me, and a lot of other Froch fans wrong tonight.

I remember Kessler hit Froch with a perfectly timed HUGE straight right right on Carl's chin in their fight. I mean you couldn't hit a person any cleaner and more crisp. Froch's legs wobbled for just a tad second, and then he just fired back like he always does. Guy is tough as pine knot. The thing i love about Froch is when you do stun him it just pisses him off more and he immediately fires back. That's the heart of a champion.

Taylor and Kessler maybe because they're past it. But not Abraham. And Bute wouldn't have landed any of those punches on Dirrell.

If they got hit flush with those shots, yes. Those fighters didn't get destroyed like Bute though, Bute was like a deer caught in the headlights, his defense is so bad he didn't know what to do. This was one of Froch's easiest fights if you think about it, even Johnson put up a tougher fight but faded near the end.

Bute has an elite offense, but his chin/defense are on the level of a c fighter and that won't fly with an elite SMW. Froch just walked through him like nothing, Bute is used to his shots doing major damage, this wasnt the case against a great fighter like Froch though.

Bute loses to Ward, Kessler, Dirrel, and a couple others, Bute just isn't that good.

Who cares if other fighters would have gone down from those shots. Other fighters avoided those shots. Bute had no answer for Froch's uppercut and left hook. He had no idea when Froch was feinting or throwing. He was completely outclassed.

I don't think Bute sucks, but he's definitely not as good as some of us (me included) thought he was. Froch hasn't looked that dominant in years. At least AA lasted 12.

No they would not have. Also, they likely wouldn't have been hit flush with many of the shots that Froch took, which were few.
