you're the second person I've seen mention something about his feet. What's the story behind this?

He apparently had 2 blisters on his feet which could have lead to an infection about a week before the fight.

3 or 4 days before fightnight, Bute's camp said the blisters had fully healed and caused no interuption to his training. No complaints.

IMO, he was outclassed. What did Bute do differently in this fight that would lead you to believe that it was something different? He fought his style and got destroyed, that's being outclassed. Froch would beat him every time out. I'd like to take this moment and steal a line from Larry Merchant......Carl Froch I love you!

Bute only fought froch because he was coming of a loss

He's a hypejob and i expect him his career to go down the same path as lacy after calzaghe fight or continue to fight bums

People on this website do that non stop. They will see a prospect/fighter destroying weak talent and then just assume they can do it to anyone. While top fighters are having tough fights against the best, they are quick to discredit them.

It's time people realize that there are certain levels in boxing. Bute finally stepped up to that level and got his ass lit up. That's the kind of loss that a fighter usually doesn't come back from too. An early kayo would of been better because sometimes it's a lucky shot but the way Bute got beat, it showed he isn't on that level.

i was very dissapointed in butes performance, ppl say froches performance was outstanding but i think it was a very good one with lucian performing absolutely terribly..bute looked weak at the knees before the first bell rang and failed to let any shots go when the perfect counter opportunities presented themselves did bute freeze or was he exposed and outclassed???? what do you think??? also if the rematch where to happen would the outcome be the same????

1) bute's defense just wasn't good enough
2) froch was letting bute lead... bute is better when he can counterpunch... but once froch hurt bute, and had him wobbled, bute was never able to fully recover... his recuperative powers are weak... he couldn't counterpunch and was in survival mode
3) bute's chin while decent, just isn't enough

bute didn't freeze, he wasn't exposed, but he was outclassed... froch had a better strategy going into the fight and froch was able to close the show and not let bute get back into the fight... that's all there was to it.

What you smoking? Ward also beat Kessler. The same Kessler that beat Froch. He also beat Abraham, like Froch. There resumes are about the same. Froch has a nice win against Bute but I'd say Ward beating Froch trumps that.

I guess if you really want to split hairs Froch has that one win against Pascal to edge it but that's about it. Not that it really matters since Ward outclassed Froch.
