Bute's level of opposition: are comparisons to the Klitschkos valid?

We saw tonight that it's easy to look dominant against lower level opponents, but that it's a whole different matter when you have to face someone who is actually good.

A poster on another thread mentioned that the Klitschkos do essentially the same thing. It's just that there's no one good to expose them.

Well it might be true in a sense but it's not their fault that the competition is pathetic. They do what they're supposed to do when you're good. You knock out the bums. It's not like the bums are giving them a run for their money. At least they're knocking them out like they're supposed to do.

It's not fair to the Klitschkos because they fight everyone who is there. Bute hadn't fought anyone remotely near the top of the division.

It's a valid comparison for Wlad, especially when you see how a fighter like Haye was able to make him miss a lot even though he didn't do shit himself. You can see how top tier heavies from previous eras could beat him.

Wlad and Bute are both hype jobs. Wlad is just lucky that most of the people in his division are failed NFL players, club bouncers and Garbage men.

Bute exists in a division where its mandatory to stay in shape year round. He was eventually going to run into someone good and get exposed.

Not until they get outclassed and brutally koed in 5. The issue is whether or not your fighting the beast available opponents in your division. The Ks are, Bute wasn't.
