Comments Thread For: Carl Froch Confident: Losing a Fight Makes You Hungrier

Carl Froch insists he is hungrier than ever despite being in the twilight of his career and coming off a high-profile defeat.

Froch tonight bids to become a three-time world champion as he celebrates his Nottingham homecoming by facing unbeaten IBF king Lucian Bute.

The Englishman claims his defeat by Andre Ward in the Super Six final in Atlantic City before Christmas has fuelled his appetite for the sport rather than diminished it.

      Perfect fight, very evenly matched.

Bute faster (everyone's faster then Froch) heavy hands, clever.... (left home, at last)
Froch granite chin, brave, can **** and box. Home advantage (at last)

      Should be a great fight!

          UNDEFEATED RECORDS = SU****IOUSNESS.

"Show me a undefeated fighter & ill show you somebody who hasnt really fought anybody."

          -legendary boxing trainer Whitey Bimstein

You look across the board in boxing history, all TRUE LEGIT BONA FIDE LEGENDARY fighters have losses in their records while all the undefeated ones have question marks about why they were undefeated like never beating great prime opposition or never beating anybody of worth (marciano, floyd, sven ottke, chavez jr) or hid out in one division to prevent from fighting great opposition (calzaghe & ricardo lopez)

Having losses means you took on the best. You were challenged by the best. Its a mark of a TRUE FIGHTER. It means more than a undefeated record. Its a sign you paid your dues & went up the hard way.

          Even Michael Jordan lost.
          Even Tiger Woods lost.
          Even Roger Federer lost.
          Even Usain Bolt lost.

Nobody will accuse those guys of padding their undefeated records and ducking opposition.

          UNDEFEATED RECORDS = SU****IOUSNESS.
