Not true at all. In fact, Jr and Sr both said the only reason got beat by Pacquiao the way he did was because he killed himself to make weight, and he was way past his best days.

After the world found out about Oscar's drinking and coke addiction problem both Jr and Sr backed Oscar and said that they didn't blame him, and that the fame sometimes messes you up because after you accomplished so much, nothing else seems to satisfy you anymore. Boredom takes over and you start experimenting with drugs.

There are lots of interviews where they both wished Oscar well and hoped that he recovered soon.

couldnt be farther from the truth...

chavez sr. and jr. have always praise oscar in interviews even as recently in nacion espn (spanish show on espn).. they talk nothing but good things about him, coincidentally when the topic of chavez jr. vs martinez came up, chavez sr. expressed his frustrations with bob arum because he is making his son look scare to the public and said he is tired of them not giving chavez jr. the fight he wants....

chavez sr. could care less about bob arum and with chavez jr. saying his contract is up next year, im sure he'll be a golden boy in time...

he can sign with whomever he likes, as long as the Martinez fight isn't jeopardized by it...because right now, at least he's slated to fight him after Lee...if he signs with GB, ya never know if it'll be used as an excuse to back out of the deal, or even if it turns into a Gamboa situation while Chavez vs Martinez is being promoted.
