The WBC extended the purse bid for another two weeks from last Friday probably to give Garcia more time to negotiate with Khan. That's a pretty good sign that they won't honor the mandatory spot.

This is the problem with boxing. Busy body organizations are inflated nobodies in mandatory positions.

I'm sure Ajose Oleguson is a nice enough guy, but he has no business being the #1 mandatory for a world title. The best name on his record is Colin Lynes ffs. I know he just beat an undefeated fighter, but that guys record was all bums, whereas at least Oleguson has a handful of guys with winning records at national level. Still, why he is paying money (apparently, according to some) to the WBC out of his purses to get himself positioned as the mandatory, this just shows what is wrong with boxing. Pay to play and padded records. **** the big fights and **** the fans.

If I were Garcia and Khan, I'd give him the WBC title gladly. As time passes, these "belts" become more and more meaningless.

WBC/Sulaiman are garbage. They're not gonna honor anything. They want that $$$ and that would be in a Con/Garcia fight. Plus they would love for Con to win their strap so that they could keep on getting their piece of the pie every time he fights. Sorry Olusegun, you're putting your faith in a lost cause!
