147... anything else and it's a ***** move by whoever wants a different weight as of now. Mayweather could make 140 and his dad has said that in a couple interviews. He'd rather fight at a comfortable weight than have to drain a little to weigh in. He lost weight after he weighed in for the Cotto fight just like when he fought De La Hoya. They need to use 8oz gloves so there isn't any excuses and I'm sure Manny won't fight without them. If Floyd stays at 154 and fights the top guys there, or gains size to fight Martinez, then I'd maybe change my mind. I don't agree with catchweights unless there's a 2 weight class difference and both fighters will be comfortable making the weight.

Pacquiao gave up too much ground in his crooning to Filipino reporters. He established 50/50 as his waypoint. Not even with Top Rank backing and a crack PR team will they be able to get 50/50 anymore. You don't open a negotiation for 50/50 with...get this...50/50.

You can be a huge pac fan, you can be a proud Filipino, but you can't go to the table and offer 50/50 with the first words out of your mouth. That is a crippling handicap to Team Pac's position in all this negotiation garbage, why would he do something that is flat out idiotic in American business? Floyd gave a bull**** joke offer, lets counter with 50/50...wait...what?

I was about to write this, that 140 lbs is about right, since Mayweather could make 140, and pacquiao is only a force-fed lightweight.

154 and up...each guy comes in however he feels most comfortable. Don't even understand why the issue is in question. Any other way leaves room for excuses.

i doubt this. 147 is the best weight to have this fight.
