I don't think Rios will be able to muscle him like he has guys in lower weights, but Herrara isn't exactly Mr. Dynamite. He keeps a pretty good pace but thats about it.

Should be a nice little war for as long as it last, Herrera is a sturdy punching bag.

Herrera showed some signs of boxing skills in the beginning of that Alvarado fight but for whatever reason he decided he wanted to fight on the ropes.

I give him a shot as long as he doesn't let Rios corral him. Anyone knows how tall Herrera is?

I dig this fight okay, but he should be fighting Alvarado.

Just like Donaire-Rigondeaux, it's the perfect fight that is screaming to happen NOW, not later (and end up like Gamboa-Lopez), but their promoter is greedy and wants to keep building up his two hot prospects into moneymakers and wont let one of them lose unless he stands to get seriously paid.

****in hell. Rios isn't the most perfect fighter in the world, but i'd rather see him take an L or a W in a fight of the year against Alvarado instead of getting picked apart by the likes of Abril or Marquez.

Herrera will be there to win and it will be a good bout, but Rios grew his fanbase with exciting scraps against good fighters that were there to ****. Alvarado would be a perfect opponent.

The blueprint on how to beat Rios is out let's see if Herrera can execute it. I hope he wins.

LOL at 141...... his own promoters dont even trust his fat ass to make weigh, if he ran on a treadmill as much as he ran his mouth he could fight at 122 lbs

It doesn't surprise me at all that he's fighting at 141. This fat mother ****er looked drained at 139.

Everyone is afraid of Alvarado now. Herrera will school Rios at that weight and I dont understand why Rios is not moving up to 147, afraid to lose some of his power?

Apparently they are talking about doing a Alvarado-Provodnikov and Vazquez Jr-R. Marquez card this summer in Denver. Hopefully if Alvarado an Rios win, they can fight this fall. That has FOY written all over it.
