tysons attitude vs holyfield and lewis

when tyson fough holyfield his attitude was like "holyfield cant beat me, i will not let him defeat me" he dont accept to lose even in the rematch he had same attitude. lewis and holyfield is almost equal in term of skills. when tyson fough lewis he was like " he is better, i cant beat him". so why had tyson different attitude? in those fights? its beacuse he got headbutts or something else?

I think he respected Lewis in his twisted sort of way, he hated Holyfield so.....

Tyson was famous for winning his fights before settting foot in the ring simply by scaring his opponents half to death (Spinks and Bruno jumps to mind)but with both Holyfield and Lewis he couldn't do it, Holyfield was so calm that I think it un-nerved Mike!

Tyson was also quite a bit older when he fought Lewis, a completely different fighter mentally. Douglas and Holy had broken his will and exposed him as a vulnerable fighter.

Thats a good and valid point, but does that then say he was a poorer fighter than originally thought all along???

i have decidedly that tyson with don king and without rooney is different fighter, the first one got many settlement skills that the second one didnt have like killer instinct, headmovement and combinations. he is not great but he had potential, the second one didnt have potential and wasent even good. he became a puncher than

I think if Tyson had been in great shape and angry for the Lewis fight he would have beat him. He did very good in the first round then he seemed to give up. Against Holy he just fought a dumb fight. Against Williams, I saw the injury happen in the first round, it did effect his ability to punch hard. Mcbride...I dunno what happened. If Tyson could adapt a somewhat different style to compensate for his age, like Foreman did, he could still win some fights. I would like to see him win one last fight.

but he did it in impressive way, he wasent getting hit or near to lose with his skills. compare to holyfield and lewis, they both beated 1-2 more solid opponents than tyson. lewis`s solid win was over holyfield, and holyfiels solid wins was over bowe and tyson
