This is what I would want for Alvarez, given he were to win these fights, which isn't guaranteed by any stretch.

09/2012: Paul Williams in Las Vegas
12/2012: Gabriel Rosado/Vanes Martirosyan in Mexico
06/2013: Miguel Cotto in New York City
09-10/2013: James Kirkland/Carlos Molina in Los Angeles/Las Vegas

If he were to do those fights and win, he could fight Floyd in May 2014. Floyd would be 37, probably still pretty good but he'll most likely slip a little more by then, and Alvarez will have a better chance to beat him. And if he were to beat those fighters first, it'd make a Floyd fight huge.

Also he needs to train with Nacho B., take his game to the next level.
I think this many fitters in it wouldn't matter he's pretty set in his ways I mean it's mot like he's gonna be the next Marquez he doesn't posses the timming nor endurance to throw those combos it would look goofy.

waste of time. Williams is tougher than both those clowns combined. He should fight williams
          molina or kirland
          then cotto

I'd rather see Canelo take a tune-up/stay busy fight in Mexico, like he did with Cintron last year, and then go into a huge fight with Cotto.

I think this would be a good pace. Williams is a very tough fight, and a big risk for Alvarez. I actually see Williams upsetting him, just my thoughts though. After a tough fight with Williams, I wouldn't mind seeing him take a quick fight 2-3 months later in Nov/Dec against a Rosado (given he beats Powell) or Vanes down in Meico where he can draw a big crowd. Than, fight Cotto in June at MSG.

Canelo has got to figure out how to muscle/bully people on the inside. Until he does that id keep him away from the elite.
