while this is true, Paul doesnt defend well and doesnt use his size advantage. I can see Canelo beating him down.

And that's wrong, Williams struggled with Margarito.

Correct, I had Cintron ahead when the fight was stopped.

Last time I checked that was the prime version of Chetto (aka still loading his gloves), you know the one who made Cotto quit and who everyone thought was the greatest thing ever, yet PW beat him and beat him pretty damn clearly. I wouldn't say he struggled, he just won a competitive fight against a guy who at that time was one of the best at the division. I think Williams will beat Canelo, not sure if the scorecards will reflect that though. Thing in Williams favor for that is judges love activity and volume punching and Williams will bring that.

Canelo will put his his punches together when he has Paul Williams hurt, so Paul best be careful.
I was there in person, so I can certainly vouch for how clean those punches were landing and how perfectly crisp they were. However, that fight and this one have nothing to do with each other. Canelo isn't the same style as Lara and Martinez, and can't replicate what they did to PW. They both have elite lateral movement and would get PW to chase them, get him off balance, and then land overhand lefts repeatedly. Canelo doesn't fight that way. He's going to stand right in front of you, he's got decent skills but not on the same level of Lara and Martinez, and he's not a lefty. He will also stand there and not throw for long stretches, and is pretty easy to hit. For as cleanly as Lara was landing he didn't ever have PW seriously hurt, and Lara can crack much more than he gets credit for. Only one guy has ever really hurt PW, and that's Martinez. Canelo has nice pop, but not Martinez level pop.

People think canelo is gonna gfight the same patient way with paul. Canelo know how to adjest to his opponent very smart in the ring. Williams gets to sloppy with it and Canelo is sharp and crisp. One of those power shots from Canelo can put WIlliams to sleep..

Oh yeah Williams won clearly but he still struggled, especially in the 2nd half when Margy was tapping that body. Canelo is a good body puncher and he lands every punch with authority which is something the judges like as well.

Not sure who I have to win this, but that constant pressure that PW brings from bell one is gonna cause Canelo problems. On top of that PW height & reach are things Canelo haven't seen before (he gives both away with that style) along with the dudes stamina & punch output. Canelo's gonna have to make an early adjustment, but I do think he's capable of doing so. That Gomez fight is just stuck in my head though.

True Margo the cheat did rally late in that fight and won a few of those rounds, but that's probably when his plaster started to harden. Margo also was much more active than Canelo and would not just stand there and not throw for long stretches. I can't wait for this fight, it's going to be a war.

I'm taking Alvarez in a hell of a fight. This could end up being the fight of the year.
