I think point he was making is that Berto had next to nothing in his system to make an difference in the Ortiz fight and Peterson passed his VADA tests in April, meaning the substance was already out of his system and probably would not have made difference. Remember Peterson-Khan was canceled because the NSAC wouldn't license Peterson without a hearing and not because the promoter or Khan pulled the plug and the Calif commission never even got a chance to rule on Berto. He was replaced by Lopez in like three days.

Say what you want to say about Bob he is sort of right. We got two of the best fights this year taken away from us just like that. There has to be a better plan. A large fine and possibly a suspension after the fight is fair in circumstances like this.

Peterson did test clean a full month from the fight. So there wouldn't be an advantage there. Take away half of his purse, suspend him for 10 months following the fight.

It's very possible Berto made a mistake. In other sports you are allowed to appeal these things and they have been overturned in the past. In his case it would have been if this were baseball or football.

For once, Arum may have a point in this case.

But what i'm wondering is, Arum is so venomous against fighters who are not in his stable. Especially against a DiBella fighter like Berto. So why is he so protective of these two fighters? They're not future Top Rank fighters, hell no, not with Berto being advised by Al Haymon. And Peterson already turned down the chance to be a TR fighter.

Any one else think, Arum might be seeing Peterson and Berto as one of his kids, because Arum's kids juice up? Remember, Chavez Jr avoided getting tested in Texas in his last fight, and Pacquiao avoids random blood testing like the plague.
