This fight won't happen next. Mainly because both of these guys can headline a PPV separately. It's all about the money. Why have one PPV when they can have two? Maybe in December.

Neither khan or Ortiz are ppv fighters, both of there next fights are on normal TV. One of the reasons this fight wont happen is because ortiz has a contract with showtime for his next fight and khan has a hbo contract.

Great matchup and definitely one for the future. No one gives a **** about what happened in the amateurs.

For now though for Khan it's a route to Mayweather, and im 99% sure that route would not include Ortiz on it for now. After Mayweather though, a matchup against Ortiz will most likely happen, and what a fight that will be.

On paper I would favor Ortiz for his power, but I also know he is a mental midget and falls apart if he feels the slightest bit of frustration or gets hurt.
