he fought dumb against Trinidad & DLH.

he tried to prove he was more macho & could stay in there wit Trinidad. he just took an inside beatin(unnecessary beating) against trinidad cuz he could have won if he had boxed a lil bit from the outside sum more.

Against DLh he spent too much energy in the early rounds and got caught with a perfect counter on the chin.

Well said. It was his machismo getting in the way. Much like Judah against Terron Millet. They really hated each other and started fighting off emotion instead of strategy.

When Tito clocked Vargas wit that left hand in the 1st round, it looked as though Vargas lost his sense of hearing. Notice how he was scratchin his ear a bit?

pacing himself was problem. he tried to show to much. could have beat DLH, cuz he was winning the fight. against tito, he was coming back in like round 9 and 10, but he was trying to brawl and yeah "machismo"

DLH's hands were too fast for vargas and vargas stamina was not too good

Vs trinidad he tried to be brave and paid the price in round 1

he fought ****** against Tito, if he would have boxed he could have had W. Actually he had Tito but after he got hit with those low blows he kinda got his soul taken away.

Against Oscar, he couldnt do anything. He did what he was suppose to do and try to make it a brawl.

i think its a lil of all those reasons.. tito and de la hoya are just all around better than vargas!
