If I were Ortiz, and I would have pushed for just moving everything from June 23rd to July 7th to fight Khan. I'm sure they could have sorted out the issues between HBO and SHO, and they still would have had 7 weeks to train for a different opponent. And if he'd won, he'd be in line to fight Mayweather again.

I have no problem with Ortiz taking a tuneup, due to the circumstances. There is still plenty of time left in the fall/winter for a big fight (Maidana rematch, Khan, Alexander, etc...).

people need to cut ortiz some slack... the fight being called off is not his fault so any replacement is fine with me.. if anything ortiz is showing how a clean fighter should present himself.. he's passing all test usada/wada/vada and calling out anyone....
