kessler is impossible to dislike too, would be very difficult for hopkins to engage in ***** talking to hype the fight.

but you never know, if bute-froch are tied up, so are ward-dawson, maybe kessler can see value in a hopkins fight. It's like the kelly pavlik situation you know, big payday, no big opponents valuable, sometimes that overrides the risk.

maybe he was thinking it was his chance to one up calzaghe (thinking he could beat hopkins easier). also, even though hopkins is old and has some ugly fights, he's still a pretty big draw (when not on PPV) and I'd imagine if they could lure hopkins out of america it would be a pretty damn successful event for team kessler. Good money.

I don't know what the money was but the Pavlik fight was a much bigger & better fight for him here in the states then fighting kessler over there.

but right now, with not too many options for hopkins, I think he just might take it.
