Ward tells Bute to fight a top fighter.

Bute takes what Ward said to heart and signs a whole 2 years worth of fight the same guy.

Fans: Well Ward told him to fight a top fighter.

Yeah, just one top fighter, once. Not sign damn near1 year and a half worth of fighting the same dude. Its gonna take thousands of years to finish those 2 fights. Not to mention the possibility of their being a rubber match if the first two don't have a clear winner, or if they split 1-1.

show some respect hopkins has a fantastic resume. yeah he can be a dirty fighter and have some stinkers, but one thing he does have is a solid resume, that can't be denied.

but you never know, if bute-froch are tied up, so are ward-dawson, maybe kessler can see value in a hopkins fight. It's like the kelly pavlik situation you know, big payday, no big opponents valuable, sometimes that overrides the risk.
All true points. Lets just hope Kess value a future with Froch/Ward/Bute over an easy payday

Who knows, his injuries are getting worse...

He fought more title holders than pacquiao or floyd, so yeah, his resume is solid.

Good money.
Did you know that Hopkins turned down 4M USD for a Kessler fight in Copenhagen? That was after he had lost to Calzacky.

I don't know what the money was but the Pavlik fight was a much bigger & better fight for him here in the states then fighting kessler over there.

but right now, with not too many options for hopkins, I think he just might take it.
