That's what's good about being retired. You can talk about active fighters you can beat and they can't prove you wrong.

After retiring, Calzaghe has said he can beat Wladimir Klitschko, Andre Ward, etc. But while active he was making fights with 40 year olds while Dawson, Froch were calling him out.

Come out of retirement then, take a tuneup, and it can happen. I think Cokezaghe actually has gotten more popular during his retirement. It'd be a great fight.

I'd have been comfortable putting every penny I own on Ward in that fight.

Nobody in that division is touching him.

Then come out of retirement. Fight a can, and then a Glen Johnson or Allen Greene then take on Ward. By that time Ward should have boosted his resume with a win over Bute since HBO will push it.

This would've been a genuinely brilliant fight. Not a Calzaghe fan at all (though I think he comes across as well as in that interview as he ever has - but hey, let's keep making comments about him being on coke for the sake of it) but he and Ward share (besides boatloads of talent) that mental toughness that will not allow themselves to lose.

That's why Calzaghe nicked the decision versus Hopkins and Ward will beat Dawson and everyone around 168-175.

I would actually favour Ward to win.
