It's a nice myth, but quite ridiculous. Joe was calling out everybody for years, nobody had the courage to fight him because they knew that they would lose.

I have heard so much stuff about Joe being the one ducking that you just assume that it is him doing it, but I would like to hear your evidence as to why him ducking was just a myth, other than your bias for being a Calzaghe fan.

American's don't like the WBO belt. American's don't like European fighters. American's don't like white fighters. American's don't like Frank Warren.

Why would Joe ever be ducking anybody when he's only ever been in boxing for glory and destiny etc? It's not his fault that super-fights against the likes of Jones Jr and Hopkins didn't happen. Calzaghe is NOT in boxing for the money at all, that's not his style. Why do you think that he still trains in his Dad's rotten shed in private when he could travel to London and train at a top gym with the press there etc? Why do you think that he has never accepted any of the millions of invitations he's had to the London nightclubs? He was only in boxing for glory and destiny, he stated 10 years ago that he wanted to fight Jones Jr and would beat him. It was Calzaghe's dream to be rated better than Benn and Eubank, and to beat Jones Jr, that was his dream. You can compare Eubank to Ottke, sure. But ****ing comparing Ottke to Calzaghe is like comparing apples to oranges.

          hmm

Let me break it down for you, asswipe. America is mostly white, and we like plenty of white fighters.

Secondly, no one should like Frank Warren. He's a smarmy ******* just like Don King. Hatton left for a good reason.

Lastly, you are complete fool to say Calzaghe wanted to fight "xxx". Bull****. Joe fought in Europe, almost always in England/U.K. He could have had some of his fights in the U.S. but chose not to. It's his own fault. That exposure would have floated his name in boxing circles.

Joe already thought he was the best and that everyone should come to England to fight him. You need no further proof in that Jeff Lacy is Joe's only chance at a career-defining fight, and guess where the fight is taking place? England...which is NOT the mecca of boxing as you must think.

Why would Joe Calzaghe ever want to fight in England?? The English hate Calzaghe, just like the English hate all Welsh. You haven't got a clue what your talking about. As for Calzaghe-Lacy, the crowd will probably be behind Lacy and Calzaghe may need to knock him out to win.

                hmm

Are you a complete idiot? Calzaghe has fought in England about 15 times and his next fight, which happens to be the biggest fight of his career, is in England as well.

Staying in only the UK is just as bad. Don't be a jackass, Juyjuy. I know it's hard, but please give it a shot. We all know what I'm talkin about.

                Joe stayed overseas, period.

You haven't got a clue what your talking about. Calzaghe was real annoyed that the fight couldn't happen at the Millenium, but he's travelling to a foreign country to fight Lacy because he wants glory. You obviously don't know about Calzaghe being booed in England and chants of "sheep, sheep, sheep-shagger" ringing around stadiums when Calzaghe has fought in England?
