Comments Thread For: Mariusz Wach on a Possible Fall Fight With V. Klitschko

Polish heavyweight giant Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15KOs) was scheduled to return in the month of July, but the card was canceled. According to Wach, he is being considered for a potential fight with WBC champion Vitali Klitschko (44-2, 40KOs) in the fall. Wach, standing at over 6'7, stopped his last seven opponents by knockout. Wach doesn't know if the fight with Vitali is possible for this year or 2012.

It doesn't matter, everyone will just say he was green when Vitali annihilated this guy too. There will always be a reason why Vitali deserves no credit for beating another undefeated prospect.

I've followed this guy for the last several years and he's not bad. He fights like an East European - he keeps a high guard, doesn't waste punches and utilities his height against smaller opponents. Having said that, he's a tall lumbering guy who isn't the most mobile of fighters as contrasted to Vitali.

I'd like to see this fight though. I think Wach is slightly taller and has a longer reach than Vitali and it would be interesting to see how he (Klitschko) boxes a bigger opponent.

This is how I feel about it too. This guy is quality and if it happens I just hope Vitali gets some credit.

The only reason a fighter who has only fought the Tye Fields and Kevin McBrides of the world should be in the same arena as Vitali during a boxing match is if they happened to be on the under card. Or they purchased a ticket to the fight and they are in the third row watching Vit fight.
