Is Pacquiao vs Marquez The Greatest Trilogy Ever?

I think the three great fights between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manual Marquez is arguably the greatest trilogy there has been in boxing.

All 3 fights very tightly contested, rounds swung back and forth, big punches, knockdowns, great clash of styles, intelligent boxing fought at a great pace, technically superb.

Everything you could want from a fight apart from the KO, but even that would take something away from a brilliant trilogy.

Is it the greatest, or do you prefer another one?

I agree. The decisions were horrible though. Marquez won two and drew one

Not the most entertaining (Gatti-Ward) and not the biggest trilogy(Frazier-Ali). Still awesome and maybe my favourite trilogy to watch.

It is certainly one of the best contested and most controversial ones. Shame that Pac spent years and divisions running from JMM.

Not even close. Barrera/Morales and Marquez/Vazquez are easily the greatest trilogies of the last decade.

No. history won't remember this the way they remember

                  Ali Frazier

                  or even Holyfield Bowe

it is just bias against the lightweights. But it is what it is.

                  It depends though

if the Heavyweight division remains dead and never be revived again

and the light weights dominate for say another 1-2 decades. The flagship changes.

But if the Heavyweight comes back in the next 5-10 years, this particular era of Floyd and Manny will just diminish and be known as 'that period of time the HW'S was alsleep'
