Fights in which Jr is taking a bit of punishment will be stopped because of the emotional connection there is between a father and son. Chavez Jr should keep his father away from the corner. Just always have him as a spectator cheering on the side. Let Jr create his own legacy.
But given Sr's experience in the ring he might have some real reasons to be concerned. He knows better than most about training, improving and fighting overall. He had a more successful career than Roach as a fighter. It's possible he'll make Jr a better fighter and it wont all end in tears. Look at Joe Calzaghe and Enzo, they worked great together so not all father/son match ups necessarily fail. I know what you mean though, many of them do.

I can see the new headline coming soon, "Ariza was just disgruntled so he lied and made things up..."

I guess he means Roach is not verbally aggressive enough with his fighters and doesn't push them. He just tells them how good they are and how the opponent is not the same fighter they use to be and they're old and that's why they could win. Basically Roach is a great matchmaker. Has a good eye for catching guys on the decline to make his fighters look good. He's afraid of putting his fighters against any one dangerous in their prime.

Okay I added some things there at the end, that I think of Roach.

Shoot, he's already the trainer......dude is tying to relive the past vicariously through his son. He'll push the little vaca too hard and Jr will run off at the mouth "I hate you daddy" and the old man will say "I'm so sorry my little baby boy, take the next 3 days off from training"

The little tike comes in to the weigh-in at 170 and just shrugs his shoulders and smiles...

good point. I didn't think about that but none of roach's fighters can fight inside

So this did get confirmed? Damn it seems there's a huge conspiracy triangle going around with Arum, Roach, and Ariza all involved. Things are looking really shady for them.

..back when the shake maker was talking about dropping a article exposing Arum...my response was that he better be careful because Arum might be a coward...but the only thing worst than a coward is a coward with power!!....I guess he was feeling himself and got to thinking he was some big shot supplement giver or something...smh

not even god will be able to help Ariza as the devil of the game teaches him a lesson or 2 about the rules of hell!!
