he he totally handled two very good boxers in an aging but still viable malinaggi (as evidenced by his recent performances,) and kotelnik at or around his very best.

it's a damn shame to see kotelnik go out this way. he could have made some more money and gotten another shot at a title for sure if he hadn't been put into carbon freezing

    hibernation sickness.
Someones been watching Star Wars lol

Sad news indeed, he was a top 5 Jr WW. I would have loved to have seen him beat Alexander's ass again in a rematch and get the decision this time.

Styles make fights, Khan does well against boxers because he outspeeds them and they don't have time to think but brawlers got his number.

I tend to not buy into fighter's claiming retirement, they almost always come back for another fight or two.. but nonetheless, if Kotlenik really does hang em up, he had a good run, cong****.

He had a lot of momentum after his 'loss' against Alexander. They offered him a fight against Ortiz late that same year which he turned down. What a wasted opportunity.

                  Bad Management and Bad Luck

The Alexander fight was close and he looked good enough to keep going. Alexander was criticized for not blowing this guy out of the water, but the truth is the guy was very skillfull and at the time was the only loss on Maidana’s record I believe. No one wanted to fight him and suffer the fate Alexander did. Good fighters that are unknown offer risk with no reward and the guy could not get a fight. That’s his handler’s fault. On top of that he had some nagging injuries as well. i wish him the best.

Kotelnik was a pretty decent fighter and fun to watch and I am sad to see him go. I wish him luck with what ever he decides to do with his life after boxing. As far as Khan is concerned he had one good night and other than that he is highly overrated.
