    Ward - Dawson

WBC approves the fight at 168 lbs for Ward's Belt.

Should the fight be at 168 or 175???

andre ward, should be moving up to 175, to challenge for chad dawson's 175 lb. lineal title...its mad campbell soup weak, on andre ward's part, to stay @ 168, and force the lineal lightheavyweight champ, to move down to fight him...i wouldn't be suprised, if the fight lands in oakland california, so andre ward's, fixed in ref's and judges, come into play...

mad respect to chad dawson, to move down in weight, to prove he is one of the best fighters, p4p, in the world today...

      Andre S.O.G. Ward ‏@andreward

Help me understand this: I was told I was stripped of my title, now I'm told that I've been restored as Champion. Does that make me 3x champ

I agree with ya! I'm a big Ward fan but think he should be moving up to fight Dawson for the 175 strap

I like the fight at 168. Dawson made the challenge, and as the challenger he should come to Ward's weight. If Ward had challenged Dawson then he would be expected to move to 175. Ward worked hard for his tittle. Why would he want to give it up and fight above his best weight? Dawson said he can make 168 and stay strong and offered to fight Ward at that weight. All Ward did was say yes to the offer. Why are some people mad at Ward for this? I don't even like Ward but I will stick up for him when he is right. At 175 only the light heavyweight tittle is at stake. At 168 both tittles are at stake since both men make weight for both tittles. The winner gets to pick which tittle he wants to keep. This way if Dawson wins he proves he is better than Ward pound for pound. I think he will win. If Dawson fights him in California he is just ******.

Who knows? The WBC just seems to do what ever they please and don't even follow their own rules. They were getting ready to crown a new 168 lb champiom from a fight between two nobodies but they called it off for this fight. The way I understand it Ward is still the Champ now. If Dawson beats him he is the new champ but he can't keep both tittles. If he keeps his 175 lb tittle then the 168 lb WBC tittle would be vacant and Ward would probably fight the highest ranked WBC contender for the vacant tittle.

Should be at 171 and no titles on the line or have Ward move up because he used to fight at 175 or so in the Am's. Dawson will be a skeleton at 168

According to Dawson he comes into camp weighing around 182. Stipe Drews the 6'5 LHW fought at SMW for a while.

I think we will be surprised and Dawson will fight just as good as if he was a LHW. I don't think Dawson will be drained at all.
