Comments Thread For: Bradley Pondered Smacking Khan's Face in Confrontation

Look, Bradley isn't afraid of Khan, it's the fact that Khan is more marketable than Bradley is. If they fought and it went to the cards, Bradley stood a good chance of getting ripped off on the cards, had that happened he would be back at square one, no Pac fight, nothing.....kind of like most of these other guys that have gotten jobbed on the cards in fights that they should have rightfully won.
Call it a duck, call it being smart, call it whatever makes you feel better. The only thng that matters is where they are now in their careers. Bradley made out by making his choice, just like Mayweather has made out in his career by making the choices that he has, just like Pac has made out by making the choices that he has in his career, and Martinez too.
If he wins this fight, he'll be on top of the world, if Khan wins his next fight, he'll still be chasing Mayweather around. He was looking out for number one, himself...and in turn he has the ability to give the fans a great fight against the P4P best out there. He understands how boxing works, it's a business first and the more marketable fighter will almost always get the nod regardless of what happens in the ring.
Pac is a lot more dangerous than Khan is so why would a "ducker" choose to fight the tougher guy, wouldn't a ducker settle for the less dangerous man and take the payday?Last edited by mathed; 05-16-2012, 02:00 PM.

I'm a big fan of Bradley and despise Amir, but there's no way around it, Khan flat out punked him that day.

How the hell is that a response to anything Ive said? You just took the debate back 1 million years.
Who WOULDN'T want to fight Pacquiao? The point is that he was too scared to take the risk in fighting Khan because it jeopardises his Pacquiao payday. Are you ***in awake?

And can you stop pretending that when he ducked Khan, the Pacquiao fight was guaranteed?

And I don't believe Bradley ducked Khan so your obtuse line of questioning should be assessed. Perhaps another way to phrase it (hint: post-sixth grade reasoning helps)?
And finally, Bradley weighed his options and chose Top Rank. He's fighting Manny Pacquiao next. Why did he take the fight? Do you believe he's scared of Amir Khan and not Manny Pacquiao?
Because Pac only ever fights guys coming off of big wins, right?

At the end of the day, boxing is a business and every fighter treats it as one...
