Comments Thread For: Ariza's Take on The Lamont Peterson PEDs Controversy

Alex Ariza, the former strength and conditioning coach of Amir Khan, appeared on WLIE radio in New York and discussed the ongoing situation with WBA/IBF champion Lamont Peterson. Last Monday it was disclosed that Peterson failed a random drug test issued by VADA [Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency]. Hey, am I the only one that read the part of the article that said Alex Ariza is the FORMER strength & conditioning coach of Amir Khan? When & why did they fall back out again?

Yeah thats the thing that gets me, if he just came clean and said oh yeah i had treatment and got testosterone, i mean surely everyone would remember travelling to las vegas to get a testosterone pellet inserted under their skin.

It was an amicable split. Amir just felt more comfortable with David Haye's conditioning coach.

He likely knew what the response would be: The VADA would laugh in his face and ask: "So, you think we should let you fight with synth testosterone in your azz, is that what you propose?"

He decided it's best to shut it and let the chips fall where they may.
