    Real serious question here....

How in the hell can you judge the outcome of a Taylor - Lacy fight based on his bouts with Bernard? Last I checked Lacy wasnt a technical genious with one of the best defenses and counter punching abilities in the business. Taylor wasn't ****** that fight, he knew what to do and what not to do. I guarentee you he won't fight like that against Lacy and will mix it up more. He won't be as worried that when he throws at Lacy he'll get hit with a counter. Lacy and Taylor I think would be very even, giving edges to each of them....pretty much opposite of what Hopkins vs Taylors were. Then again if this is to EVER take place, Lacy needs to beat Joe and Taylor needs to beat Wright....well ever take place as a huge megafight... Just my thoughts any feedback would be nice /shrug

Taylor would handle Lacy with relative ease with the jab.

Lacy will move down to 160 if he beats Calzaghe, as he has stated for five years.

I think most people are basing the Taylor comments upon the fact that B-Hop was his first real quality opposition. His John Ruiz-like style would hinder him against Left-Hook Lacy, who likes it on the inside and possibly even while being held. I don't see the Taylor-Wright fight happening and if it did...Taylor goes down so that mythical Lacy-Taylor probably wouldn't even happen.

** Well, you can't really. Both are developing fighters about ready to enter their peaks. Lacy is shorter with less reach but younger and more dangerous than Hopkins. We know the tall, rangy Pemberton could fight and Lacy cornered and dispatched him pronto. This would be a very dangerous fight for Taylor, but if he's strong enough to knock Lacy back, he has a good chance at picking him off at long range.

The thing is he doesn't fight Ruiz style in most of his fights. Only against Hopkins did he show this. Hopkins was/is a great in fighter and obviously not much to do but grab when your in fighting...just my two cents tho.
