This fight makes sense IMO, Devon was impressive against Maidana and I thought he really stuck to his boxing. Paulie was equally impressive against the Ukrianian and looked really strong boxing. I think both of their styles would make an interesting fight and with them both being from the states you could see this one being a really good match up. I hope it happens, but I also would like to see Paulie holding onto this belt for a bit , I think he deserves it after the career that he has had. Alexander-Paulie is a tough call IMO, would be a close and great fight to watch.

Paulie can outbox Alexander and handle his power. However, he struggles w/ fighters that are faster than him. As long as Devon doesn't pressure him then I see him winning a decision on points. If it's in St.Louis I see him getting robbed like he did in Texas against Juan Diaz. Good fight though, can't wait!

Golden Boy will eventually try and "feed" Paulie to another Golden Boy fighter. Ortiz, Alexander, or Guerrero will be fighting Paulie before the year ends. Right now it is a matter of who gets to fight him first. I think Oscar would rather have a Mexican-American try and fight and beat Paulie to generate a potential fight with Mayweather or be marketable.

Devon wouldn't have to worry about that because he would knock Pualie out. The fight will be a showcase for Devon and his comfort level at 147.
