The ufc hires lots of untalented fighters.
However, they do have a small minority of absolutely fantastic ones , such as George st Pierre , loiseau , Hughes...
they should get paid better, but it's not the case at the moment because the ufc has different sponsors ,a different system...and the biggest problem, it's banned almost everywhere.
The only reason why you guys still have the ufc is because knees on a downed opponent, stomps, headbutts, slams are all forbidden.(it wasn't the case a few years ago.)
they tried to make it more acceptable.

Pride fc (located in japan) recently paid
Yoshida $2 Million dollars for a single fight.
They also did the same for Ogawa for their NYE edition.

Heros (also located in japan), wanted fedor emelianenko for their NYE show. They wanted to give him $1.5million for a single fight. But He refused. (Maybe Pride fc gave him more?)

Mirko Filipovic wins tons of money also.

      Ufc's #1 Heavyweight (arlovski) can't even make 200 000 for a single fight.

True, on the long term, Yes.
In mma they're free to go for subs, chokes, judo throws,etc...absolutely true.
Sure, they can always eat violent high kicks and get Koed instantly...but generally speaking, a boxer will always be more exposed to punches when compared to an mma fighter.

do some fighter take it as there part time job, or is it a full time?

Fakes like WWE get paid $50K for a normal wrestler that is less likely to get injured

wow! i'm shocked the pay they get is merely peanuts, that's not compensation to the sort of violence they get themselves in.

There are lots of injuries in Pro Wrestling. It's a fact. Unlike boxers, wrestlers have to perform 4 or 5 nights a week and suffer concussions, broken joints, lacerations, and much more. It's not as easy as it seems.

In terms of being destructive to your body, nothing is worse than pro wrestling (WWE). Ken Shamrock has done mma, toughman, WWE, etc. He said that by far pro wrestling is the worst for your body. Another thing about pro wrestling is this: in boxing or mma if YOU screw up, YOU can get KO'd or tapped, etc. In pro wrestling if your 'OPPONENT' screws up, YOU could easily be the one injured.

That was a great article on the UFC salary politics. I disn't see Tito ortiz or Chuck Liddel on the list. Any idea how much they are pulling in a fight? Any thoughts regarding the May event on the UFC? Royce Gracie vs. Matt Huges. Should be an interesting match up.
