That was A list fighter vs B list fighter so they didn't mind. Both Donaire and Mares are cash cows for their promoters so they won't fight each other anytime soon.

I really doubt it. First reason, one is TR the other is GBP. Second reason, Donaire won't take it.

True I can see what you are saying as A list- Gamboa vs B-list Ponce de leon but Donaire and Mares are not cash cows yet and they both need to win fights against guys like each other to become cash cows.
