I thought the ref did a great job minus not actually stopping the action to give khan his fianl verb al warning for pushing off.

I know he "told" Khan not to do it one last time, but he should have stoppped action and gave it to him if only to cover his own ass. But I see the well intentions behind it that he didn't want to stop the action.

Not sure if it's already been posted, but some interesting comments re. Peterson-Khan on Bunce's BBC Boxing Show. http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/bunce

Wow, the first time in the history of boxing has a man taken not one, but TWO points off for pushing! Pushing is a "minor" offense, remember that. It was totally unfair and rediculous to take two points off for such a little offense in a major title fight. Everybody who don't agree don't know ****.

Anyway we know Peterson cheated so who gives a f***.
he warned khan well over twice as many times. maybe he would have taken a point from peterson had he had to warn him half as much as he did khan.

Where are these minor offenses you talking about?

That's a silly comment for a normally good poster to make. "The pot calling the kettle black".......Ahem.

I've seen one point taken for pushing, but not two. That's not to say that it hasn't happened before. Neither you nor I know anything about more than a tiny fraction of all the fights which happen. What Khan was doing was strong-arm stuff, like a rugby "hand-off". Blatant, and as aggressive as a punch.

I've seen 2 points taken for a single low blow, more than once.
