Comments Thread For: Tomoki Kameda Eyes Shinsuke Yamanaka Title Collision

WBC silver bantamweight champion Tomoki Kameda (23-0, 15KOs) is looking to challenge his countryman Shinsuke Yamanaka (16-0, 11KOs), the full WBC champion, by early next year.

Kameda captured the silver belt in April with a ten round stoppage of previously undefeated Jairo Hernandez. Yamanaka captured vacant belt with an eleven round stoppage of Christian Esquivel in November and won a twelve round decision over highly regarded Vic Darchinyan in April.

Tomoki is still a ways from a title shot he expects 2 win (not saying he won't get the op) but needs some better/more experienced opposition which he hasn't had, but I do like him...

Count him out. Kameda tends to make comments like these and almost always withdraws for some unreasonable reasons. Tomoki sure won't fight Yamanaka. Trust me on that. If he does, he'll earn my respect.
