        How so?

The only edge haye as over byrd is power! But byrd's chin is excellent! And haye is no 250lb monster like ike!!

Byrd's style is generally awkward, unorthodox and very difficult to figure out. Haye's way of fighting strikes me as ordinary and conventional.

David Haye is also nowhere near as slick defensively as Chris Byrd. Chris in his prime could be very hard to hit. He seemed to be comfortable living in the pocket and countering at times. I used to enjoy watching him fight. Him being a southpaw didn't hurt either. Haye does have more power and applies more pressure, but stylistically they're totally different fighters.

So to just outright say 'david haye' with no explanation and probably no real knowledge of chris byrd is feckin ridiculous!

Byrd was a proven heavyweight, and was a Champion for a period of time. During Byrd's time, he beat Tua, Holyfield, vitali, Williamson, McCline,as well as a draw with Golota.

Haye on the other hand has not proven **** other than huffing & puffing his way to a beatdown of an old Ruiz, and an older monte Barrett (who was embarrassed before the fight even got going)! Haye's only noteworthy opponent is useless lump valuev which isnt saying much cause I see Byrd shutting out Valuev over 12 one sided rounds.

Byrd easily outboxes Haye. Yet alot of people are wishing the knight in shining armor Haye will come and give us a Undisputed Champion. Ain't gonna Happen. He may have personality but he hasn't enough tools in the shed. Byrd IMO an All Time Great. During his heavyweight prime NO ONE wanted to fight him. For good reason. He made u look silly in the ring.

Haye hasn't beaten anyone to suggest he could either outbox or stop Byrd - who in his prime was only stopped by Ike (an undefeated, 250lb, iron chinned, murderous punching fighter!!) in a fight that he got over confident in and should have won (he was actually clowning ike at times before the stoppage occured) and an argument could be made that it was prematurely stopped too considering there was only seconds to go in the round and byrd was blocking!!

Easy pick for me, Byrd UD haye.

Haye is FASTER than Chris Byrd ever was, Haye didnt get hurt once vs Wlad.

Haye is only 31 right now, if he stays active for the next two years he will be an unstoppable monster at age 33.

Remember he had only 4 fights at HW before meeting Wlad, imagine how dangeroushe's going to be with experience.

it's a winnable fight for either guy
Haye's only good for what he can hit
prime Byrd didn't get hit with serious power punches
Ibeaubuchi getting to him was a huge shocker
the Klits were just too damn tall for him
Haye would only have a punchers chance
but he's a smallish HW just like Byrd and has some handspeed
if Haye could land big shots in succession, he'd get Byrd outta there
wouldn't pick him to do it though, favor Byrd by UD
he had a slippery defensive style and could counter in combination
don't think Haye would get him within 6 or 7, so not at all

He also got beat up by carl thompson and even c level africana lolenga mock caught him and put him on his ass! Prime byrd would make all of those men look like amateurs!! 'haye is faster' hahahahaha

Byrd most likely gets a decision but if Haye hurts him he could win it.

Why make a thread if you believe yourself to know all the answers and who would win anyway?

Its actually a hard fight to pick and could go either way imo.
