People thinking this is going to be a boring fight are in for a big surprise. As much as I love Dawson and Ward, I have to go with the Bay Area boy. Ward via SD. I see it being a real tactic fight on both ends.

Chad's passive style plays right into Ward's hands.
Dawson is gifted but he doesn't have the mental fortitude of Ward. I'm a fan of both but Dawson needs to have the fight of his life, and shown the fire he had in the Adamek fight, or hell, even the first Glen Johnson fight. Because since then, he looks confused at times to me in the ring. I've actually been very disappointed in how he has regressed as a fighter.Comment

I agree. Dawson, Judah, Kirkland all come to mind when talking about mental toughness.Chad's passive style plays right into Ward's hands.

Well, Judah is Judah. One of those guys who starts looking for a way out quite early on in a fight when he realises he's in some difficulty. I'd put him in the category of someone like Cintron. Just severely lacking in mental toughness. You know he's gonna pull a stunt at some point.
I wouldn't say Dawson is that bad. But ever since the first Johnson fight, he hasn't looked the same. The run of geriatric LHWs hasn't helped. He fights within himself. And honestly, Ward is an animal, both physically and mentally.
Re Kirkland - I actually think he's very mentally tough. His downfall is his chin and lack of overall skills.Comment
