some of these europeans and cubans box in the amateurs until they are grown men and in their 20's.
It's the same story with a lot of Olympic sports. Other nations pour so much money into their Olympic teams, that they have virtually become their pro team. For example look at the USSR hockey team. For the longest time that team was comprised of their very best players, while America had virtually college athletes. Unlike hockey though, America has a very rich and prestigious amateur boxing history.

Unlike Mihenken(or however it is spelled), I actually watch the sports and use stats to back up my claims. This guy comes in here and trolls "hahwhahahhaha we pwn you". So much for real debate on this website.

i hate to say it as if to run other people down, but it's the damn truth. it's empirical. go back through the history and you'll find it to be true:

the best athletes in the world have been largely american.
      disproportionately american.
      You have the best PEDs

It's getting pwned by the UKRAINE and all 9 of their boxing medals
One of his countries top fighters just got beat into submission by the likes of Paulie Malingaggi IN ACTUAL REAL LIFE BOXING.

Eastern European boxing is an absolute joke and an embarrassment to the sport.

The insinuation that Eastern European boxing is anywhere in the stratosphere of American boxing nearly made me spit out me coffee.

UD? Smart money's on RTD. Judging by his username. He likely descends from a region of glass hearted quitters.

We're talking about the 2012 London Olympics and the boxers on those teams. Numbers? Ukraine won 4 Gold medals and 1 Silver out of 10 weight classes at the 2011 World Championship. Like i said Ukraine, Russia or the UK individually have stronger teams and the boxers on those teams and their accomplishments and medals at international tournaments....there is no comparison to the US because the American boxers on your team have done virtually nothing.

Ukraine and UK will end up with more medals than the US, Russia's team is rather weak this year but i would be suprised if the US got more medals than them. Nothing to debate we'll all see the Olympics in not too long.

Yeah, and I already pointed out Russias history in the Olympics as well. I have nothing but respect for the USSR but they are no where, nor will they ever be on par with America in sports.

                    They should respect their elders/superiors.
