  • Comments Thread For: Khan Rips Peterson: Every Drug Cheat Has an Excuse!

Former beltholder Amir Khan told Sky Sports Ringside that WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson's failed drug test could never have been a mistake. Khan was due to face Peterson in Las Vegas on May 19th - with the Bolton fighter out to avenge last December's controversial split decision loss. However it emerged early last week that Peterson had tested positive for synthetic testosterone, a banned steroid - and the fight was canceled a few days later.

No, he is saying once caught everyone has an excuse as to why they failed the test. Look at all the excuses you hear from major league baseball players. From they didn't know what it was to a teammate gave it to them for a headache. Pacquiao has never failed a test.

IMO he should be punished to the fullest extent for this crap... A lot of people idolized Peterson and what did he do? He did what so many athletes before him have done, he got caught using frackin' drugs... WHY LAMONT WHY?!?

I can't believe I agree whole heartedly with AHHH, Ahhm, AAmir Khan. That's hard for a guy to say after mocking Khan for his, safety first, list of challengers. Cheaters hurt the sport and this cheater caused an old fan to eat crow. Khan needs his belt back.

check your facts first folks. peterson's doctor even said he hd the test levels of an 80 YEAR OLD MAN. anything over 4.1 is cheating and after the first fight he tested 3.7 while on test. read john mccormicks article on **********.com

The T/E ratio limit is 4:1 and Peterson was 3.77:1, so he was under the limit. However, synthetic testosterone is on the banned substances list. If in fact Peterson had very low testosterone, he easily could've gotten a The****utic Use Exemption (TUE) before taking it and disclosed such to VADA before testing.

Peterson and his camp WAITED OVER 1 MONTH after his A & B samples were tested positive to finally disclose his use of synthetic testosterone. That is highly su****ious.
