Being rooted in that era made them stronger and gives them an enormous advantage
over the failed football players, and part time janiters that exist in the Heavyweight division today.

Wlad will defend his title against the second 40 year old challenger this year. Hes fought more 40 year olds than anyone in history. Amazing really.
wow you summed that up well. Exactly how I see things as well...and I've thought for a while that the younger and smaller guys should be fighting each other instead of maneuvering their way up the line for the Klit's. The experience gap has been just too wide to beat them for the reasons you stated.

Once they battle things out among each other then MAYBE we will get someone who will legitimately challenge or beat Wlad and carry whatever lineage that if left to the era u mentioned. If they retire without anyone beating them in modern times it's going to be even worse for the guys left.

better he leaves than stick around falling apart
wanted to see him KO Haye before he retired
      now that probably won't happen
Dimitrenko went down, so hunt hard for Povetkin and Helenius
most likely Povetkin keeps ducking, but Helenius would fight
those are really the only names left for the Klits they haven't owned yet
wanna see Vit get 1 more KO win before he quits

Good, I hope he stays with his word on this. Nothing is sadder than seeing these former champs fight themselves into health problems.

Personally I look forward to the day that Wlad and Vitali have retired. It's not their fault but their domination of the division killed it years ago.

It's not just the one sided fights they're in, but the lack of decent fights in the level below them. Second tier fighters avoid each other and feast on third tier fighters instead, to protect their records and ensure a fight against one of the brothers. It really is a sorry state of affairs.

I've always liked the Klitschkos as sportsmen though, decent guys all round.

Hey Vitali, Don't retire before Haye sparks you out.

Wlad is 35 himself and it's not like fighters don't fight later and later these days. Especially heavyweights. Thompson deserves a second shot more than anyone else Wlad has faced.

Vitali needs to fight 3 more fights and win by KO to regain the highest KO% of all time. I think that's what he will do, but you never know.

Their talent is on a different level. The Klitschko's are atg's. Those guys are like the supporting casts, like Ruddock, Morrison, Grant, Tua, McCall and so many others were.
