I put him on the list because he said he's fighting 5 more times and if that happens, Canelo would be one of those final 5 fights.

If he loses 1 of those 5,it would be even more difficult to put him on a top 10 p4p atg list.

It says more about Floyd's resume that a green fighter such as Canelo adds something to his legacy.
If Floyd was to fight Canelo he would UD him easier than he did Marquez IMO...

Trust me, I like Canelo and Im a fan but his D is so bad and I think he puts so much behind his punches that he would get easily countered and boxed around by Floyd. And this is coming from someone not very fond of Floyd too...

Call me ignorant...I dont care...but anyone pre 1950 is irrelevant. If you think they aren't you trippin'.

I dont know **** about baseball, but you can say that for any other sport...anyone pre 1950 is irrelevant too.

        Athletes evolve...

Every sport is down to a science now...Back in the good ol days guys trained in a barn and eat rice and beans during training camp....

I'm sorry but it just the truth...

Old timers were definitely tougher than today's fighters...but this isn't survivor, its boxing.

Most old timers were not good at all...THey were all tough brawlers who gave a great show....but last time I checked boxing is a sport, and its relative what you find entertaining about it.

I give them all the props because are a product of their time, they were the best during their era which had its own expectations...but the game has moved on and today if you time machined an old timer and brought him (with his old diet, training etc) in to fight a modern fighter he would loose.

What an old timer would develop into with today advancements is a whole different story..

        Get mad....

I think people are mentioning Canelo because of what he might go on and achieve after losing to Floyd. For instance, Bernard Hopkins ranks as a great win for Roy Jones, because of what Hopkins has gone to achieve since losing to Jones. When Jones fought Hopkins, he was a contender who'd done nothing of note. Now he's a first ballot hall of famer, see how that became a great win? If Hopkins had disappeared after losing to Jones, no-one would mention it

He has to fight, fight and fight and then history will decide. Keep challenging himself.

If he fights great fighters, no messing about the journey will be easier to get to top 10, but i dont think Floyd has what it takes to get there where Pac is.

Neither Pac nor Floyd are top ten. These guys may be top 50 but definitely not top ten. There is a good reason for that. They are the only two great fighters of our generation. Great fighters of he past had to constantly compete with other great fighters. Today the only real competition for Mayweather IS Pacquiao and the only real competition for Pacquiao is Mayweather.

In the past fighters such as ALi, Robinson, Leonard all had to fight multiple great fighters. Today we do not have that level of competition to really challenge May or Pac.

Its funny...30 years from now when dudes have boxing convos and talk about floyd and m manny like their dinosaurs. You can't keep erasing history like it never happened.

                    Truth hurts eh.

Its all good, looking at your avatar I already figured what your response would be.

But I have a question, what makes vintage boxing superior?
