Latimore doesn't bring anything to the table. He's too inconsistent to be considered a decent up and coming boxer. I don't see a reason why Floyd should keep him around. Vargas isn't all that good either, but at least he's a bit more consistent down the stretch.
I don't understand how Mayweather Promotions can sign any fighter, since they reputedly have never had a licence. Perhaps they are acting as "advisors" or some other faux position, which may not need a licence. Does anybody know for sure??
A promotional company only needs to be licensed if it is the lead promoter of an actual live event. Simply signing fighters to promotional contracts does not require a license. My guess is that they are licensed somewhere though because they recently had a Shobox card where they were the lead promoter, so they had to be licensed in whatever state that was........
