I like this fight because I like Erik Morales but its just not worth it for Marquez; unless I am wrong and Marquez can actually get a GOOD payday from a fight between them. What if by some off chance Morales pulls off something amazing and upsets Marquez?

Marquez has been keeping up with the younger guys fantastically. Why risk it against someone who hasn't looked good against the young guys but may do well against Marquez stylistically. If Morales had beaten Danny Garcia it would have been perfect (and i was really hoping for that) but sadly he didn't and his momentum/buzz is gone again and hes seen as done.

I'd still watch it though, because as Merchant said, its a fight between 2 of the big 3 that never happened.

Morales vs Marquez is a true boxing fan wet dream. I would pay that PPV without any second considerations since they are both fighters that bring and leave everything int he ring.

Lol at this guy talking about not getting credit. JMM has been mostly fighting bums in between Pacquiao fights whenever he wants to. I have no idea what JMM is afraid of about Morales.
