One Loss Makes Hopkin's Career Over-rated?

I don't think so. This man is 41 years old (next month) and holding his own against a 27 year old fighter. That's remarkable. And don't forget, this 41 year old was dictating the fight towards the end of both bouts, meaning his endurance was much better than his younger opponent's stamina.

    Good career Bernard.

Taylor should feel good beating a pound for pound elite fighter. But truth be told, Taylor is EXTREMELY green. Last night must have been bitter sweet for him knowing that he still had MANY wholes in his defense and that it took close 12 rounds in two fights with a 40/41 year old fighter to get decisions.

Taylor is as green as it gets and he beat Hopkins twice. You can argue Hopkins is displaced from his prime by 2 and a half years, but that can only be taken so far. Taylor can only get better.

Ignore the haters. Hopkins beat him the first time and even more convincingly the second time. It would have been bad for boxing if Hopkins won, hence the Taylor decision. Hop was dictating the pace the entire fight last night, and outsmarted taylor for the majority of the fight. Taylor has major stamina issues, and will get eaten alive if he fights winky.

Taylor is not green. He beat Hopkins, even if he was old. Taylor is kinda sloppy at times, but he has good skills and he is certainly not green. He might be as good right now as he'll ever be. Cannot really say he is green because this may be the best version of Taylor we will see.

But, Hops is an all-time great and his career shouldn't be dissed for one loss late in his career to a very good and big fighter with speed.
