big mistake..... martinez, chavez, pirog... unless he wants to fight eurobums.

i think cotto has a big enough problem with the tougher guys @ 154... alvarez, kirkland, lara, angulo, p-will....

on second thought, maybe thats why he wants to move to 160. division isnt as deep

cotto could beat martinez. if the odds look good i'll take cotto

        you heard it here first

i like sergio as much as the next guy but he's over rated

cotto's also less faded than i had thought he'd be at this stage. and pedro diaz is a good trainer

if a few wrinkles from macklin, barker, and the like can give martinez some issues you know the skills of miguel cotto will do the very same

cotto would have the power to hurt him
        a good jab
he's a better fighter. the issue will be the size. can cotto deal with a faster fighter with some gas who is that much bigger than he is?
This man knows his ****, I've said even before the Mayweather fight. At 154 I got Cotto over Sergio and 160 I got Sergio all day and its only because of the size. Cotto is simply a better fighter, people say Sergio has his own "style" etc... I call it sloppy. Leaving your hands down against B level competition is fine when you're faster than everyone and at 160 Sergio is. However, at 154 Cotto would hit as hard as the Euro fighter but be faster than them and even Sergio and just has way more ring IQ. But as I stated at 160 Cotto doesn't have enough intangibles to overcome the huge size/weight disadvantage he would have, he doesn't have the chin.

Not sure if I like that idea. He's not a very big JMW to begin with, against a guy like Martinez at 160 he could get KO'd.

I'd hope that he would fight Alvarez first.
