This week's episode of Freddie Roach says the darnest things: Pt. 1

    http://******.craveonline.com/blog/172117-qaa-roach

    Roach on not wanting VADA:

"I don't agree with it so much because I think that the testing that is already in place is adequate. The Nevada Commission has voted to have that and they've felt that the testing that they already do is adequate, so they didn't pass Olympic-style drug testing".

"But this is an individual group outside of the commission that is asking for this test. I don't really know where it's going. I think that the testing is fine the way that it already is".

    Vs.

Talk about anything boxing related here. Where the boxing discussion is always Non Stop!

Roach all of a sudden advocating VADA

Roach said: 'I used to have great respect for Hunter and sympathy for that story - but that's gone. If this boy had not been caught he might have killed Amir next week, or the next guy he fought.'

    Terrible, terrible move by Peterson.

Worse move by the commission that didn't catch it.

LMAO @ Freddie Roach talking about what a roided up Peterson could've done.

Did he say the same thing about Toney and Fortune when he noticed steroid characteristics in his fighters?

Did he say the same thing when Chavez Jr refused outside testing from the commission?

Now Freddie Roach is concerned about what PED's could do to a fighter?

While you were preaching "let the commission do their job", this is what we've been trying to tell you for the last 2 and a half years Freddie.

    Thoughts?

Not to my knowledge. But he did say that they thought the stuff was out of Toney's system when he was caught. Dug up this quote...

Trainer Freddie Roach said, "The Ruiz fight, James was coming off an injury and we didn't have enough time for it to completely heal. He wasn't at one-hundred percent. The steroids didn't seem to affect him at all, we didn't even know it was still in his system for that fight. James was just himself in the Ruiz fight. His boxing ability won him the fight.

I remember Roach gave in interview saying "I knew James was a lot bigger than normal, I just didn't care".

I guess this was the time James didn't directly let Freddie know he was taking something.

          Nice finds. Perfect quotes.

I noticed that many of the "Commission Testing Only" advocates have gone eerily silent.

          http://www.************.com/2012/01/...-for-pacquiao/

Roach told the examiner.com “Why do we have to go by the fighter’s [Mayweather] request? Why can’t we go by the commission rules? The commission is doing a good job. They’ve been doing it for a long time and we are willing to do anything the commission asks us. Floyd Mayweather, he doesn’t make the rules of boxing. Who is he? All of a sudden he is a rule maker. We are willing to go with any commission in the world. We will do any test there is.”

Lol @ 42 views but it's quiet as a library in here.

I guess it's case closed, thread shut.

I just find it funny that people would rather spend hundreds of pages debating a topic that is supposedly subjective; but when hit with objective information, you can hear a pin drop on carpet.

“We have a commission, right? We have a commission in boxing and we have to follow the rules,” stated Pacquiao. “Why does he create his own regulation? He’s not a commission.”

My dude, this Lamont Peterson thing absolutely ruined a certain group of boxing fans.

                1) A cheater was busted by an outside agency doing Olympic-style testing

                2) The Nevada Commissioner admitted that his commission would not have caught the cheater.

                Ruined.

Of course. I just expected more people that have been advocating outside agency testing for the last few years to be here as well.

I'm 95% convinced that poster's from both fan bases (Mayweather and Pac) are solely on boxingscene to "debate" 22 hours of the day instead of comment on fact based information.

Case in point, threads like these.

Wait a few more hours and people will somehow forget all the contradictions from Roach and Co. and somehow find a way to "debate" if outside tests should've ever been used in the first place.

                    It's crazy.
