Just to play Devils advocate:

It is feasibly possible for a fighter to 'absorb' punishment from body and head shots while on PED. Essentially its not used on fight night but rather to boost training camp. Your muscles go through exertion fatigue where by they need time to rest. Its possible that Peterson reduced the time for his rest because he was 'super fit' for the fight (aided by PED). Remember the heart is also a muscle and it supplies the blood to the brain so its possible that Peterson recovered from any onslaught. Had he NOT been caught people would just say "his engine" won him the fight.

Its therefore highly possible for ILLEGAL PED to improve stamina and other things like punch resistance.
