Any Professional Boxers from your hometown??

I grew up in Pomona, California where Sugar Shane Mosely is from. Grew up following his career. Early in his career he was over shadowed by other boxers like Oscar De La Hoya and Tito Trinidad but he was probably the best at his prime. Guy was a monster at lightweight. Beat Oscar at his prime and in his home turf. I was dissapointed the way he fought against Pacquiao and Mayweather but he showed a lot of heart against Canelo.. I hope he fights one more time to go out with a win.

Lupe Suarez, Jesse Benavidez (2 fighters who my dad helped train and won World Titles), Harold Warren, Frankie Warren, Roberto Elizondo, and some others.......

The best fighter right now out of my hometown is Jerry Belomontes who fights on, I believe Telemundo, on May 19th.

Top Rank promotions and Lester Bedford brought their concept of ballpark boxing to Whataburger Field bayside in Corpus Christi, Texas. Fight fans were afforded free admission to the venue, then were able to upgrade to a reserved seat for just $5 or $10. The formula proved a great success in August at Quick Trip Ballpark outside of Dallas and the results were similar with a large crowd of 5000 plus in the new first class facility normally dedicated to the Corpus Christi Hooks who are the Double-A affiliate of the Houston Astros and operated by legendary pitcher Nolan Ryan.

My dad knows most of those guys......
