Yeh it makes no logical sense really.

Thinking logically, Floyd wouldn't have agreed to it then if he doesn't agree now. Did he have a sudden epiphany that he sells more PPV?

In the video manny says "there are no more issue with testing" and "there is only the purse split issues remaining". That is why i said it seems they are connected in the previous post.

I can respect your and irondan's points, I just think its unfair to ask floyd to give away what he worked for. Judge him however you will, it doesn't matter why he sells more, just that he does. He sells more for various reasons but either way he took the risks to get to this point.

For taking the risks, buying out TR contract, fighting ODH, creating different business model, he has earned the right to make more than the #2 guy.

How is that not fair?

The only reason why Mayweather and Pacquiao are so effin famous right now is because of Oscar Dela Hoya. Both of them were made famous by the great Oscar - the real boxing draw.

So, Mayweather asking for a 50/50 split is just absurd. During an interview in the Philippines Pacquiao even mentioned WHAT IF I'll offer Mayweather the $40M or even $50M do you think he'll accept it? NO coz Floyd knows the mega fight will produce ginormous amount of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

154 weight <--- this will kill the fight on the spot. The only reason why Pacquiao is making the weight is because of his HUGE calves. We have to admit the guy is short, there's no way he'll make it to 154 come fight night.


One more thing Dela Hoya is not as greedy as Arum IMHO I bet he didn't make much in Mayweather - Cotto as long as he puts his promotion up there is all that matters to him LMAO!

If 50/50 is not right then zero ppv is definately not right! U guys complain that it shouldnt be 50/50, well Floyd is saying PAC gets zero and yet u guys don't say anything about that?? Also team PAC offer winner gets the bigger slice, is this not fair?

Huh. I have never said pac should get no ppv split. SO stop saying you guys. I can't speak for others.

What's fair IMO, is both manny and floyd being resonable, say 55/45 or 60/40 floyd on the ppv. I'd be fine with 50/45 and 5% to the winner. But there is no evidence that pac should get 50/50.
