there are legit reasons for taking this if you have a medical reason. Peterson, while it certainly doesn't sound like he truly has this condition because of things in his story that just don't make sense, the problem is he completely did it in the wrong manner and all of this could have been avoided if done properly (disclose his medical condition, let everyone know what he's taking, etc.).
Peterson's doctor: I prescribed testoserone pellets

Does your body make whey protein, egg albumen, "vitamins" manufactured in a lab, manufactured creatine, g**** juice, apple juice, milk, or anything else that you eat?
No, I guess not, so in reality every human being is cheating then.Comment

Possibly because this was a preliminary, exploratory treatment. The pellets were timed to last up to 5-6 months, and then he was re-examined Perhaps by the time he had that second test done, they had stopped releasing.Comment

There was a follow-up doctor's letter written after his April re-examination, which says that Peterson didn't show any real improvement, and he thought that serious therapy would be needed (paraphrasing).
It really looks as if Peterson isn't medically fit to fight anyway.Comment

You have a legit point here, and it's very odd that the Doctor in question would step forward to back Peterson if he wasn't absolutely sure this was legit. If he was lying and they proved it his whole practice/reputation would go up in smoke along with his doctors licence being revoked. It's not like Peterson has enough Dough to pay him even close to enough to do this. So now this is getting very interesting......PS where can I get me some of those pellets........Comment
