It just keeps getting worse for Peterson. Look at what Schaefer said:
""There's no question about it that Peterson was injected or inserted with testosterone pellets," Schaefer said. "They don't deny it, but it raised a lot of questions. He trains in Washington, D.C., so why would he go to Las Vegas to a little clinic which the Nevada commission never even heard of and get tested because you feel you're tired? Aren't there better places in Washington, D.C., which has a lot of great hospitals, to do that?"
sheesh things like that really hurt boxing and piss off the fans. 1 mil $ on the table, and peterson still gets caught by a test he himself requested. ironic.
floyd has never been caught by any tests. stop it.
Neither has been Pacquiao but that doesn't stop Floyd fanboys from putting 'steroids' and 'pacquiao' in the same sentence at every chance they get.
Floyd has been getting alot credit for this bust but let me say this. He's not happy. When he pushed for OST he was doing it for the Pacquiaos and Khans of the world not for fellow black boxers.
Had it been Khan that failed the test him and Roger would be dropping bombs on Pacquiao and Ariza on every website known to man. For a person who describes himself as being so 'ourspoken' he's been relatively quiet on this.
I think they're lying when they say that before the Khan fight was the only time they used testosterone. I think they've been using it all the way leading up to being caught. How could he still have it in his system months later? And after he gets caught in April the tests done in May suddenly come negative. He clearly got off the testosterone or took some masking agent.
Plus, the Washington Atletic Commission. If he took the steroids before the fight how is it that they didn't catch him with the before and after drug tests they do on every title bout. Somethings fishy. I think they caught him. Told him about it. Then team peterson told them about the 'medical issue' and they bought it.
Anxious to see what THEY say about this.
My understanding is that the pellets are implanted like those birth control implants and are there for around 100 days.
He didn't get caught before either because they didn't do the carbon isotope ratio test before or he had someway of masking it but was caught out by the random test.
Peterson probably gave a urine sample that some NSAC official flushed down the toilet.
Got to remember, commissions are always crying poor, lack of funding etc. , lots of times they are just an extension of a promoter. They feed off each other, its a two way street and commissions dont want to upset the apple cart as much as they can avoid it.
They arent serious about catching cheats as kizer clearly points out.
It's wasn't even about the T:E test that got him. It's the CIR (Carbon Isotope Ratio) test that got him because it reveals if you have synthetic testosterone. And Lamont being the ****** idiot he is, didn't tell VADA everything he was putting into his body. USADA had stated that they don't test every urine sample with that test. VADA tests every sample with a T:E test and a CIR test.
"The detection of synthetic testosterone apparently came as a result of VADA's use of the CIR test as a regular screening tool; USADA, in contrast, does use the CIR test, but not on every single sample it analyzes. Although it does not disclose to the athlete when a CIR test is being used, it more often uses the testosterone-to-epitestosterone test, which is known as a T/E ratio test. A USADA spokeswoman said, "CIR is a regular part of the USADA testing program for all athletes under USADA's jurisdiction, as well as a routine part of the anti-doping programs conducted by USADA in professional boxing." She added that CIR is used in "strategic and appropriate" circumstances.
If the T/E level breaches a 4-1 ratio, a CIR is then ordered. Under VADA's protocol, the CIR test is administered regardless of the T/E ratio. The CIR test measures natural testosterone, produced by cholesterol, against exogenous or synthetic testosterone, a plant substance."
