The fact that Jacob's family of 70 people (souls) went down to Egypt does not preclude other related groups from also either staying in Israel, or following them down to Egypt. We all focus on the family of Abraham, because those who compiled the various tales and histories into the Torah, were influenced by the story of the Divine Covenant, which was only with Abraham and his true descendants. At least that's the way they interpreted it. As I've already posted, the Exodus most likely consisted of 600 families plus others who took the opportunity to go with them. not the Biblical 600,000 men plus families. At that time, in the near East, and along Northern Africa there most likely were not a single country or people which could muster 600,000 men alone
It took 1200 years, before the Great Emperor Darius, (either 2nd or 3rd) could gather an army which the ancients say was over 200,000 but which modern archaeologists and historians say could not have been more than 90-100,000, (dozens of different subject peoples) and completely unmanageable at that. Experts say that the maximum number of troops could never have exceeded 80,000, and the Roman writers confirm this as being the maximum sustainable.Comment

Bob Arum of Top Rank, speaking this week to Las Vegas radio station ESPN 1100, compared Floyd Mayweather Jr. to an infamous **** propaganda minister.
Arum said this of the difficulty in negotiating with Mayweather, according to a transcript of the conversation from SportsRadioInterviews.com and a copy of the audio posted on that website:

There has been a lot of confusion with that translation on the Bible term, The words Alef,Aluf are almost the same. One means "thousands" and the other means "head of a family". There are many Bible errors of similiar looking letters and words. Scientists are pretty sure that the conditions in the Sinai 3500 years ago was rather the same as today, so we know that there could not have been millions. The logical conclusion is that there were 600 family heads with families, flocks and others who came up out of Egypt with them. This would make an estimated amount of at most, 4-10,000 men, women, children... total. If you look further, you read that they were afraid of the Amalekites, and also afraid to go directly into Canaan and sent out spies first. With 600,000 men (meaning a mass amount of at least 3 millions, everybody would be running away from them.
The total population of Egypt has reliably been estimated for that period, as not more than 1.4 or 1.5 millions, which possibly would also have included Israelites and other ******. Your comment would make it seem that with the 600,000 men, as translated from the Bible, the Israelites could have overwhelmed Egypt without having to run away out of there,
I've always strongly believed that my opinion is the correct one.
I hope you see the logic. If you've read this far, you must be a little interested, so I suggest you look up the "Papyrus Ipuwer" (or Ipuwer Papyrus). In it you'll see an almost perfect parallel to the Biblical 10 plagues. The Papyrus was written around the same time estimate for the Exodus. For me , it's fascinating. but I have an odd mind. It was also prominently discussed in Velikovsky's shattering book "Ages in Chaos". He makes a lot of sense, at least about this.
Second, the migration of the Hebrews is still a mystery. The Hebrews began scattering long before the invasions of Babylon, Assyrians, Romans, etc. Some were still in Rome, others fled further southward. Further, while the New Testament has letters to the Hebrews, the majority of the people mentioned in it are the ***s, a word non-existent in the Old Testament. It's with great intrigue that I wonder how the two words became one post-Roman invasion.Comment
